TRAVEL TO PARK CITY

Getting to Park City was a breeze! We flew into Salt Lake City and took an Uber to get to Park City. I’ve heard that it can be trickier during peak season, but we didn’t have any trouble at all in December.

GETTING AROUND

Our hotel had a shuttle service, so we chose not to rent a car. Once we were in Park City, we walked around the downtown area and even caught a bus to get to the other side of town easily.

COST

Park City is filled with travellers, and the prices are on par with any vacation town. Restaurants and shops are high end. Once we got into Salt Lake City, we found food, gas, etc. to be quite a bit more affordable than the Bay Area.

WHERE TO STAY

We stayed at the Pendry Park City and LOVED it. I would go back in a heartbeat. We were there during the holidays, and the Christmas tree in the lobby was magical and the entire property was covered in holiday lights. The beds were comfortable, the shower was lovely, the staff were amazing, and the gym was great. There’s a Gorjana on site as well as a shop with skiis, snowboards, etc.

WHERE TO EAT

We had some amazing food in Park City, but the clear winner was The Eating Establishment. So much so that my son was begging to go back and I heard him singing ‘eggs and toast! eggs and toast!’ the entire drive over when we returned for round two.

SHOPPING

There are some adorable shops downtown. We had fun popping in, talking to the locals, and doing some shopping.

SLEDDING

There are a number of spots to go sledding. We stumbled on a perfect hill behind the Park City Library. There were many locals enjoying the hill and we even found a free sled pile where travelers and locals could take or donate a sled. Alternatively, there are some designated paid sledding mountains.

STOP IN SALT LAKE CITY

There’s a great mall near downtown and we were able to pick up some clothing items we had forgotten.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

If you ask my son what his favorite trip he’s ever taken was…. he will tell you Park City. We had the most wonderful holiday in this cozy snowy town and we will definitely be back!
